Will Deepika Padukone make a good Bar Dancer?

is now the Queen of Bollywood with a fantastic innings in 2013. With her films reaching the Rs. 100 crore club faster than any other actress, she now dominates Bollywood. Having said this, Dippy is now beginning to experiment with her roles and the latest is her role in Happy New Year.

Deepika Padukone was Farah Khan’s final choice for ‘Happy New Year’ opposite Shahrukh Khan and the combination is turning out to be quite a lucky one, especially for Deepika Padukone. We hear that the lady is going to don the role of a bar dancer and a bold one at that.

“Deepika will play the role of an out-of-work bar dancer from Maharashtra (during the time when dance bars were banned). And her role will have significance in the lives of all the five leading men,” says our inside source.

We hear that the three men, SRK, Abhishek, Vivaan Shah and Sonu Sood will be involved with the bar dancer ina  turmoil of love, relationships and failure through the journey of the film. When we had asked Farah khan a while back about the leading lady of Happy New Year, she had said that it would be someone who knew to dance well. So, now we can connect the dots.

Also, we hear that the team is currently planning to shoot two weeks in Dubai and Goa respectively. The inside source says “They’re shooting for a song called ‘Indiawaale’ in Dubai which is basically a song that represents the country. Since the actors are participating in a dance competition with contestants from various other countries, this song will be a cheer-leader anthem for the nation. All the men will be portrayed as atrocious dancers and Deepika will help them win the dance trophy.”

Doesn’t it sound similar to Shahrukh Khan’s Rab Ne Bana De Jodi? Well, kisko pata. This Jodi will surely work out in Bollywood and now to wait and see the boldesque avatar of Deepika!
